MANAGERIAL MATTERS

In non-emergent cases you will receive the first available appointment for consultation. The reception staff will endeavour to accommodate your scheduling needs.

They will orient you as to what the initial consultation is likely to entail and will ask you to bring your referral letter, pertinent clinical records, including x-rays, photographs, and pathology results, to your appointment. A list of your medicines and past allergies are very useful information to assure safe treatment is given.

Patients requiring emergency care will be seen on the same day either in the practice or at the Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Your referring doctor and/or dentist will receive a detailed report of your treatment no later than five days after your visit. Urgent reports will be faxed or emailed to them within 24 hours, and in special cases there can be telephone contact on the day you are seen.

If you are in a private health fund you may be entitled to a rebate. You will be supplied with an itemised estimate of the cost of surgery which you should discuss with your insurance company ahead of time. Certain procedures will have a Medicare rebate and you will be made aware of these.

To keep accounting costs to a minimum, you are requested to settle your accounts at the time of each visit. We accept payment by cash, direct funds transfer, cheque, as well as Mastercard, Visa, and Amex.

The surgery is easily accessible by car and public transport. Ample parking is available within the grounds. We have dedicated parking and easy access for people with limited mobility.
