Financial Information
Provision of first grade, high quality service can be expensive. We endeavour to keep our fees fair and affordable, but will never compromise on quality. The fees charged reflect these principles.
Fees are based on the nature of the operation, the degree of difficulty of that procedure and the time involved in performing it. Fees are subject to regular review.
You will be given a fully itemised estimate and are encouraged to consider your financial situation before embarking on surgery.
You can discuss any fees related matters with the practice manager by dialing: 02 9987 2666 during business hours. Often a simple phone call can clarify the circumstances.
There may be rebate for surgery through Medicare or your Private Health Fund but the responsibility for the fees is still yours. There are often complex actuarial principles that determine Private Health Fund rebates. These organisations have a financial duty to their shareholders and the rebates they pay reflect their need to remain financially viable entities. Furthermore, a number of Health Funds do not pay a higher rate of fees for Specialist Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgical services compared to routine dental care. As a consequence of the above factors, your rebates in most cases will only partly cover the fees charged.
This practice does not have any links or connections with any of the insurance providers given the anticompetitive nature of such arrangements.
Your financial arrangements with Health Funds or Third Party Insurance Companies are solely between you and them. Our only interest is providing you with quality surgical care.
We will assist you by furnishing a detailed account including the correct Item Numbers so that the claim can be processed expeditiously.
